Mr. HONG Hong, male, native of Chongxin, Gansu, born in Lanzhou on October 19, 1965, master's degree, member of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Party. He was a member of the 11th Gansu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Central Committee, a researcher at the Chahar Society, a special researcher at Peking University, and a visiting professor at the Gansu Provincial Academy of Administration.
He is currently the President of the Nepal-Gansu General Chamber of Commerce, Chief Representative of the Gansu Commercial Office in Nepal, Director of the Silk Road Women and Children's Health Public Welfare Fund of the China Primary Health Care Foundation, Executive Director of the Belt and Road Working Committee of the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, President of the Dunhuang Regional Economic and Industrial Internationalization Development Research Association, Founder and Secretary-General of the Silk Road International Cooperation Organization (SICO), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Silk Road International Investment Holding Co., Ltd.
He has studied in the master's program of the School of Economics at Peking University and the doctoral program of the School of Economics and Business Administration at Beijing Normal University. He is good at combining the basic theories of economics, finance, and management with practical applications, and has rich practical experience.
While holding social positions, he has long been concerned about major economic and cultural issues in Chinese society and conducted empirical research. He has participated in large-scale surveys organized by the Gansu CPPCC for many times, and was responsible for the research on "Safety of Chinese Herbal Medicines and Comprehensive Management of Sources" organized by the Agricultural and Industrial Central Committee; participated in the "Seminar on Economic Development in the Upper Reaches of the Yellow River" held by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and submitted the paper "Exploring the Sudden Changes and Rise of Economic Development in the Upper Reaches of the Yellow River from a Global Perspective".
The Central United Front Work Department Huawen Publishing House published his personal monograph "The Great Rise", and was the first to propose the systematic theory of opening the Eurasian Continental Bridge to the west and the construction of the New Silk Road (One Belt, One Road); he wrote the paper "The Exploration and Practice of Private Equity in China", which was selected in the "China Private Equity Market Development Report" published by the China Social Sciences Academic Press. He was one of the first to propose the theoretical conception of the construction of the "Dunhuang Cultural and Economic Free Trade Zone (Special Zone)" and the "New Silk Road". With the purpose of promoting the construction of the Belt and Road, he pioneered the world's first non-governmental international organization, the "Silk Road International Cooperation Organization SICO", and organized various cultural and economic exchanges and cooperation activities in countries along the Belt and Road. In 2019, he won the "Korea-China Friendship Contribution Award" in South Korea and was praised by the media as "the first person to promote the Belt and Road Initiative in the private sector."
In terms of actively participating in the practice of safeguarding national interests, we have established a solid and good relationship with leaders of various political parties in Nepal. In 2022-2023, we were ordered to go to Kathmandu, Nepal, and personally communicated face-to-face with Nepali President Bhandari, former Prime Minister Oli, H.E.Prachanda, Foreign Minister Gyawari, Ambassador to China Mr. Mahendra Pandey and others. In September 2023, we successfully held the "Belt and Road Tenth Anniversary Symposium" and the "Belt and Road World Buddhist Culture Expo" in Nepal, and created the "Belt and Road" women and children's health "Love Journey" charity project brand.
After the Gansu earthquake in 2023, he personally led a team to the disaster area in Gansu and donated 300,000 yuan for earthquake relief, for which he received thanks and commendation from the Linxia Prefectural Party Committee and Government.
In February 2024, he went to Kathmandu, Nepal, and actively cooperated with the central ministries and commissions in the reorganization. At the same time, he donated to the public welfare medical assistance for surgery for a poor mother and son in Nepal, which was praised by all walks of life in Nepal.
In the future, we will fully and deeply integrate into the great cause of the Belt and Road Initiative, women and children's health public welfare and national rejuvenation from the perspective of non-public economy and civil society.
